Dare to Dance Seattle is a Washington State nonprofit organization that provides professional-quality opportunities for dance enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels to create, perform, connect, and grow. Our mission is to:
Since its inception in 2010, Dare to Dance has produced 13 full-length shows, including 11 regular dance shows, one virtual show, and the world premiere production of “UNSTOPPABLE: A Queer Dancical.” These highly diverse shows involved a total of over 400 performers, spanning the spectrum from professional dancers to total newbies. Their ages ranged from 6 to 60+. Their professions included teacher, scientist, nurse, postal worker, social worker, and many more. Dance styles included pop, contemporary, hip-hop, ballroom, jazz, Broadway, Bollywood, Latin, traditional dances, and more.
