Dare to Dance Summer Festival banner

Our inaugural Dare to Dance Summer Festival is a wrap! Held over four days in various Seattle parks, the festival featured a diverse lineup of artists who gave short performances followed by audience-participation workshops. Despite interference from the July heat, it was a great time for both artists and participants!

We deeply appreciate all the artists:

Special thanks to the Seattle Office of Arts & Culture and Seattle Parks & Recreation for providing grant funds that enabled the festival. Thanks also go to Trader Joe’s, Elliott Bay Book Company, Dennis Riggs/Selenea Photo Art, and Jessica Richardson for donating raffle prizes. Last but certainly not least, we couldn’t have done it without our hard-working volunteers, who did everything from setting up tents to selling snacks (very popular!) and more. Three cheers to the volunteers!!
