“Dare to Dance 8” Coming This September!

Following the resounding success of Dare to Dance 7: Free to Fly last year – with many longtime fans saying it was our best show yet – we are inspired to step it up again with Dare to Dance 8. Mark your calendar for September 28-29 as we return to Rainier Arts Center with a whole new batch of dance creations

This is not a typical audition where dance troupes come show us their current performance or competition piece. We want to bring Dare to Dance alumni choreographers and dancers together with new (to us) creative experimenters to talk about putting ideas on stage. You don’t need a prepared dance, just come brainstorm with us… and maybe have a little dance party!

“If you say something is taboo, well that’s the thing I wanna do.” Get ready for two and half action-packed, red-hot minutes with dancers from Splinter Dance Company, performing to “Let’s Be Bad” from the TV series “Smash.” Don’t blink or you might miss something! But first, hear choreographer Jared Jones tell you a bit about Splinter, and why you too can be a Dare-to-Dancer.
